\(\tilde X_2\) buildings and Levi decompositions

The talk is devoted to a proof of the conjecture that every locally finite 2-dimensional affine building with a BN-pair is Bruhat-Tits. The main tool is an analogue of the Levi decomposition theorem for the stabiliser of a point at infinity in CAT(0) spaces. This is a joint work with Nicolas Monod.
