The conference center Sol Cress is located in Spa, a small town in the Eastern part of Belgium. Spa is equipped with a train station, with regular connections to the major European cities and airports via Liège. The two major international airports that are most easily accessible are in Brussels and Frankfurt.

The train trip from Brussels to Spa takes about 2h15min. While making travel plans, please bear in mind that the last connection departs from Brussels Airport at 7:50pm. (There are two train stations in Spa; you should travel to Spa and not to Spa-Géronstère.) If need be, we will organise a shuttle bus departing from Brussels Airport at 9:30pm. Please contact one of the organizers if you are interested in this service.

The distance between the train station in Spa and the conference venue is 1km (uphill). There is the possibility of taking a funicular to go up (for 1€). Alternatively, you can take a taxi cab at the train station. It is not guaranteed that there will be taxi cabs waiting, so it is a good idea to write down the phone numbers of the two taxi companies: +32 87 23 23 39 and +32 87 77 01 02.

Brussels Airport

Brussels Airport (BRU) is the main airport of Belgium and is the most convenient airport to travel to Spa. There are flights to Brussels from many European airports; there are not so many intercontinental flights.

Charleroi Airport

Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL) is a low cost airport in Charleroi, about 60 km south of Brussels. It mainly serves Ryanair flights to European destinations.

Frankfurt Airport (Frankfurt, Germany)

Intercontinental travellers might have better connections to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in Frankfurt, Germany. There is a train station in the airport with high-speed trains to Liége.

Charles de Gaulle Airport (Paris)

Another option is to fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in Paris. There are no connecting flights from Paris to Brussels; instead, there is a train station in the airport with high-speed trains to Brussels South. If you are flying with Air France, this train ticket can be booked together with the flight (the IATA airport code of Brussels South is ZYR). Note that these trains are not so frequent and might be fully booked (or ridiculously expensive).

Schiphol (Amsterdam)

Yet another possibility is Schiphol (AMS). There is a train station in the airport. You should take either a Thalys train or an Intercity train to Antwerpen Centraal.
